Debbie Schindler has a 37 year history in Christian education. She taught second grade and then has served in various administrative roles for over 35 years. In addition to holding a bachelor's and a master's degree in education, Mrs. Schindler has recently completed doctoral level work in the Superintendent Certificate Program from Seattle Pacific University. Mrs. Schindler has a long history of involvement with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Presently she is serving as a board member on the national level with ACSI and is chair of the Regional Accreditation Commission. She is a popular workshop presenter at the ACSI educational conventions, having committed her life to the furthering of Christian schools. Mrs. Schindler enjoys gardening, studying nutrition, and reading Christian historical fiction. She is eager to meet with parents who are considering Christian education, and is passionate about the disciple-based program offered at TBS.
Principal, New Hope Elementary
Jo Cooksley holds an MA in School Administration, a BA in Elementary and Special Education, and is Washington State and ACSI certified. Mrs. Cooksley has served in the public and private school sectors as a summer camp director, elementary and special education teacher, and assistant principal. She has been actively teaching and serving children for over 20 years. She has also served on an accreditation team for Association of Christian Schools International. Mrs. Cooksley is happily married to Mark, a high school counselor, and she has two children who both graduated from New Hope and now go to TBS. Mrs. Cooksley loves working with children and women in Bible studies and church retreats. Her entire family enjoys being part of South Sound Christian Schools.

Laura holds a BA from Washington Baptist College of Biblical Education, a Principal Certificate from ACSI, and has worked on an M.A. in Educational Administration. Laura served as a teacher and supervisor at Resurrection Christian Academy in Sterling, Alaska, for ten years prior to moving to Washington. She taught in the middle school at Tacoma Baptist Schools for twelve years before moving into administration in the fall of 2003. As elementary principal Laura loves the opportunity to nurture the teachers as well as disciple the elementary students in an environment that upholds biblical principles and practice. In addition to her educational experience, Laura has served in a number of church ministries as well as assisting her husband in his role as camp director at Resurrection Bible Camp. Paul and Laura have three grown children and six grandchildren. She enjoys hiking, writing, painting, and reading as time allows.

DJ Rippl joined South Sound Christian Schools as the Director of Admissions and Marketing in 2013. Originally from Wisconsin, DJ moved to the Northwest in 2003 after completing his degree in Strategic Communication at the University of Minnesota. Before coming to TBS and New Hope, DJ spent ten years working in youth ministry and has enjoyed helping students to know and experience the joy, hope, truth and love of Jesus as they learn to walk with Him. In his spare time, DJ enjoys playing volleyball and basketball, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
