The Lady Crusadersʼ fastpitch team took the victory in Darrington finishing with a score of 4-1. Isabella Thomas made a great play stopping the ball at third and throwing out the runner at second. Cheyenne Riddle made some beautiful catches in center field which prevented the base runners from advancing closer to home and got several girls out. At the end of the fourth inning, Rachel Manzoline made a saving play by scooping up the ball and tagging second resulting in a third out. Eighth grader, Shiloh Kazarovich, made an outstanding catch in right field. In the fifth inning, one of their runners began charging home just as the ball was being thrown to catcher, Becca Cerka. Becca got the ball and chased the runner down the third base line, eventually tagging her out resulting in a second out. Jen Brooks pitched an awesome game throwing several spot-on pitches. She also received several bunts and quickly threw the runners out at first. Overall, the Lady Crusaders played an excellent game. Great job ladies!
