Graduation Requirements
The graduation standards at TBS exceed the WA State requirements. This is consistent with the high academic standards that are a hallmark of the instructional program. Students are encouraged to take a college preparatory schedule each year and to continue with math and science into their senior year. The four years of English include writing, grammar, vocabulary and literature. The study of history teaches students what it means to live as a citizen of His kingdom in a fallen world view. All classes are taught from a Biblical worldview.
For students who entered TBHS prior to the Fall of 2008, a minimum of 24 credits (Carnegie Units) must be earned by high school students in order to graduate. For students who entered as a freshman in the Fall of 2008 or after, a minimum of 25 credits for students on the general graduation track and 27 credits for students on the college prep track is required. A credit, as defined by Washington state law, is a minimum of 150 hours of instruction, or 180 fifty-minute class sessions. Seniors will not be permitted to participate in commencement exercises, attend the senior trip, or receive a diploma if they have not completed all requirements for graduation, including completing the Scripture memory and community service requirements. Please see the following pages for a list of our current graduation requirements and course offerings.
