Then they will play this Saturday, Feb 22, at LaConner. Opponents and game times for the LaConner game will be determined after games are played on Friday night.

Congratulations to the Lady Crusader Basketball Team for making it to district playoffs.  This was a young team of mostly freshmen with only two seniors, that worked hard to get this far.  But the Orcas Island Vikings were able to conquer the Lady Crusaders 61-42.  Thanks ladies for a great season!

Congratulations to the Wrestling team for their excellent effort at the Regional Wrestling Tournament held on Saturday at Darrington High School. The TBS/Covenant team scored 59 points and placed 7th in the tournament overall. Matt Carroll, at 113 pounds, was crowned Regional Champion. Matt will be wrestling in the State Tournament this coming weekend at the Tacoma Dome. David Stone took second in the 132 pound weight class and will also be wrestling at the State Tournament. Elijah Kazarovich and Abram Jackson placed 4th at the 145 pound and 152 pound weight classes, respectively. Both Elijah and Abram move on to the State Tournament as alternates. Other Tacoma Baptist/Covenant High School wrestlers did well in the tournament. Sam Stone, John Hagala, Jake Miller, Ezekiel Kazarovich, and Sam Aown gained valuable experience at Regionals and we look forward to great things next year.

The boys JV and Varsity teams played Seattle Lutheran in their last game of regular season play.  The JV team lost in a very close game 28-26. The Varsity team clinched the 3rd place spot in league with a 71-46 win.  Brandon Stoehr led the way with 23 points and Dayton Pascua had 22.  With the regular season over, the boys Varsity team now goes on to Districts to face Concrete at Concrete on Wednesday February 19th at 6:30pm.

On Tuesday, our girls had their final home game of the season and for our seniors, Sarah Zeitler and Ali Oatridge, it was the final home game of their high school career. We played the Seattle Lutheran Varsity girls and played our best game all year against them. We won 44-31! The girls were on fire, shooting 63% from the field. We had three girls get double digits in scoring. Ali led the team with 12 points, while Sarah and Ashley Brooks had 10 points each. Jen Brooks also contributed with 8 points over the course of the game.  With this win, the team moves on to playoffs which will be held in La Connor on Tuesday. We will find out who we are playing on Saturday. Great game girls. Sarah and Ali we will miss you!

The boys JV and Varsity basketball teams competed against Crosspoint Academy and Bear Creek. The JV boys lost both games in a hard fought battle. The Varsity team won against Crosspoint by the score of 70 to 45, led by Brandon Stoehr who had 18 points. The Varsity boys took a loss at home against Bear Creek with a score of 57 to 32. The Crusaders now sit in third place with one game to go in the season before playoffs start. Both teams played hard while giving all the glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

On Friday night our girls faced Bear Creek at home. To put it lightly, Bear Creek was a "Bear"! :) The girls struggled against Creek's shutdown "D" only scoring 4 points in the first half. This allowed Bear Creek to take a significant lead. Not giving up, however, the girls came out the second half and scored 25 points while holding Creek to 18 points. We won the second half! But we lost the game 29-44. Thanks to all the fans who were able to come out and support us.
