STAFF OPENINGS
Maintenance Director
Description: The South Sound Christian School is looking for a qualified person to oversee the maintenance needs of the entire district. The maintenance director will be responsible for overseeing the janitorial needs of the school as well. The position begins August 15, 2008.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a born again Christian who supports the doctrines and philosophy of South Sound Christian Schools. Must possess a basic knowledge of maintenance areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc. Prior experience in these areas is preferred. Must be able to supervise people and work well with other people.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE (BASC) DIRECTOR
Description: TBS is looking for a qualified person to direct our before and after school care program.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a born again Christian who supports the doctrines and philosophy of South Sound Christian Schools. Candidate should be a minimum of 21 years or older and seeking a ministry position. The hours are 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The candidate will be working directly with the Elementary Principal in hiring workers for BASC. Creativity is necessary for this position.

Afternoon BASC Aide
Description: The Before and After School Care (BASC) is looking for a qualified person to work afternoons. The hours are 2:45 to approximately 6:30 p.m.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a born again Christian who supports the doctrines and philosophy of Tacoma Baptist Schools. Strong Christian character, enjoys working with children, reliable and punctual. Must be at least 18-years-old.

Part-time Bus Drivers
Description: We have positions open for part-time, on call substitute bus drivers. This is a great position for someone who is reliable, friendly and flexible. Driving times may include after school hours and weekends for school sports events.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a born again Christian who supports the doctrines and philosophy of Tacoma Baptist Schools. Strong Christian character, enjoys working with children, reliable and punctual. Must have a CDL and valid Washington State Driver's License.

High School Boys Soccer Coach
Description: SSCS is looking for a qualified person to coach the High School boys’ Soccer team. This person must be committed to the organization of a successful soccer program. Have the ability to lead, organize and create the many aspects involved in that soccer program, and have the ability to work together with students, parents and staff members, and they must exhibit a commitment to encouraging life skills through athletics.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a born again Christian who supports the doctrines and philosophy of South Sound Christian Schools. Must be successful as a soccer coach, have excellent communication and organizational skills, have the ability to meet WIAA coaching standards including first aid/CPR card, background check and acquisition of clock hours when applicable.
