Boy's Baseball

Baseball has a long and fine tradition of excellence as a program and has competed at the state level as well throughout its history.   Our team is coached by Kraig Gillman and he is an excellent coach of our young men.  He provides a solid base for our players to improve and sets a great example as a Christian for our players to emulate.   Our team has made steady improvement and growth and represents our school with integrity and testimony.

Kraig GillmanHead Coach: Kraig Gillman
Kraig Gillman graduated from Washington State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education and education. In the fall of 1985 he started teaching in the Eatonville School District. During that time he coached middle school boys and girls basketball, and was the head track coach at Eatonville High School from 1986-1996. In 2002 Coach Gillman came to Tacoma Baptist. He currently teaches middle school math and Bible. Since coming to TBS he has coached middle school football, basketball, and baseball. Coach Gillman grew up playing baseball, and has continued his love for the sport by coaching his sons, Lane and Grant, throughout their various levels of play. In 2005 Coach Gillman assumed the position of head baseball coach at Tacoma Baptist High School. In 2005 the Crusaders were SeaTac League, and Tri District Champions, earning a berth in the state regionals. It is the coach’s goal to develop a baseball program that is highly competitive that would uphold the tradition of other successful athletic programs at TBS.

Kraig currently resides in Eatonville with his wife, Sandi, and sons, Lane and Grant, who both attend Tacoma Baptist High School. He is very grateful for the opportunities the Lord has given him to serve as a teacher and coach at Tacoma Baptist.
