JH/HS Track & Field
Boy’s Track & Field has a superlative tradition of excellence in the state of Washington having won 5 state championships in the history of the sport which had its beginnings in the early 90’s. Coach Tom Ward in the early years and Coach Kevin Brubaker in the later years have provided the leadership that has established TBHS as a state leader in Track & Field. In addition, the Crusaders Track team is known for its quality testimony and its commitment to making Track & Field a team that honors the Lord through competition in interscholastic competition.
Head Coach: Kevin Brubaker
As a 1991 Alumni from TBS, Kevin Brubaker was privileged to be a part of the very first track team at his alma mater. Kevin competed at state two years, earning medals in the 800 and 4x400 relay He also went to state 3 times in cross country at TBS. Kevin coached cross country at TBS since the fall of 2000 and track since the spring of 2001. In 2003, he became the head coach. He feels he inherited a solid foundation for both programs. “I have worked with amazing, hard-working athletes which has led to much success, by God’s grace. As a team, Kevin’s boys track team has had 4 second place finishes and 4 state championships since 2000, to go with 2 championships earned in the 1990’s, along with individual medalists and state champions as well as several podium finishers in cross country. Kevin is married to his wife Yulia and enjoys being a pastor at his local church, Sunset Bible Church. He loves almost any sport and outdoor activities. 
Athletics & Activities
Maurice McNeal was Athlete of the Meet at the Shoreline Invitational. He won the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.01, the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.99. In the 2B division he leads the state in the 100 meter dash at a time of 11.04, the 200 at a time of 21.99, the 400 at a time of 49.01. In the state in all classifications he is ranked #3 in the 400 meter dash and #5 in the 200 meter dash.
