HS Girl's Track
Girl’s Track & Field has a great tradition as well having won 2 state championships under the guidance of Coach Gail Cicelski. Girls Track has even a shorter history than the boy’s team but, nonetheless, has achieved a high level of success as well. Coach Cicelski has a great commitment to excellence and leads our girls with energy and excitement and a desire to see our girls grow as athletes and as witnesses for our Lord. Our girls team represents TBHS in a high quality manner and, like the boy’s team, is known throughout the state as a great track and field program.
Head Coach: Gail Cicelski
Coach Gail Cicelski says first and foremost she is a born again believer and loves Jesus with all her heart. She ran track for 7 years during Junior High and High School competing as a sprinter, hurdler, and javelin thrower. She was the Middle School track coach for 2 years and has been the High School girls’ head track coach for 7 years. Under Coach Gail (to which she gives God the glory), the Tacoma Baptist girls’ track team has won 2 state championships 2005 and 2006; the first time a TBS girls’ team had ever won a championship. Her goal is keep moving forward and winning those championships. Coach Gail is married and has 3 children. All 3 children are graduates of Tacoma Baptist, 2 in 2004 and 1 in 2006.
