Tacoma Baptist Elementary
Principal's Welcome
Understanding that education does not occur within a vacuum but is influenced by our belief systems, Tacoma Baptist Elementary begins mentoring students as early as pre-kindergarten through academic instruction, spiritual nurturing, and life-skills development. A strong academic program provides a solid instructional foundation for students with math, reading, and language arts forming a curricular core augmented with appropriate science and history education. In addition, elementary students experience specialist classes such as music, library, computer, physical education, art, recorders, and band. Teachers use instructional methods designed to address a variety of learning styles, and they demonstrate a love for the individual student as well as a desire to meet individual learning needs. Because our mission is to support the Christian family, teachers are careful to communicate with parents constantly through e-mail, phone calls, and Ren Web, our school management program.
Elementary students are nurtured spiritually not only through weekly chapels and daily Bible classes but also as every subject is taught from a Biblical perspective and activities are designed in alignment with Biblical truth. Bible teachings are made relevant for students as teachers provide instruction in application of God’s Word and as students are involved in various service projects. Furthermore, all methods of behavior management and discipline are based upon God’s Word with the goal of Christ-like character development.
As academic learning combines with spiritual nurturing, students at Tacoma Baptist Elementary develop life skills from which they will benefit throughout their lives. They learn to put their learning and spiritual instruction into practice so that they will grow not only as good citizens and community leaders but also as courageous followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, a light to the world.
In His Service,
