Instructional Support Center

The Instructional Support Center (ISC) is designed to address minor to medium range learning needs which cannot be accommodated in the standard classroom. Meeting student needs on a subject-by-subject basis or for full-time academic instruction, the ISC allows the student to experience academic success and build confidence. More individualized attention is received by students in the ISC, and each student is encouraged to experience and appreciate God’s design and plan for his or her life.

The Powerline program, separate from the academic program of the ISC, is a phonics-based program designed to improve a student’s performance in spelling, reading, and writing. Powerline also helps a student focus, process, remember, perceive, think, and act using a variety of learning methods. Diagnostic testing is available not only for academic placement but also for placement in Powerline.

God uniquely creates every child. Each has unique gifts and abilities. Some may be gifted in the arts, in hospitality or other gifts but struggle with academics. Our Instructional Support Center offers alternative learning opportunities for those students who need more time to learn, who need to learn independently or who need other special support. While we only work with students who are generally less than a year behind academically, we are happy to consider your child on an individual basis. Please read our ISC handbook (below) and call the school with your questions.
