The Student Council plays a significant role in the annual high school retreat. Students spend a little over 24 hours at a local camp, with a focus on growing their faith, renewing friendships with friends and the faculty and welcoming new students to the year. A speaker challenges each teen to consider a deeper commitment to the Lord and the student worship band leads in praise and singing.
Fun games, the famous Talent Show, time in the lake, good food and planned craziness add up to make retreat a memorable “must have” event each year.
Preparing students for junior high is the focus of the Sixth Grade Retreat which happens each May/June. Students from both campuses meet together to build relationships, examine their commitment to God, and discuss what success in junior high will look like.
Of course, games, surprise activities, great food and getting to know friends from the other campus make this an important marker in the journey from elementary to junior high school.
