What is the history of TBS and New Hope?
Both campuses were founded by educators who wanted to make a Christian education available to all families in the South Puget Sound. Tacoma Baptist Schools has educated students for over 50 years and New Hope Christian School for over 30 years.
Where are your campuses located?
The New Hope campus is located in Graham, WA. MAP
The Tacoma Baptist campus is located in Tacoma, WA, minutes from I-5 and approximately two miles south of the Tacoma Mall. MAP
Is SSCS affiliated with any national or state organizations?
Both campuses are accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), by the regional accrediting commission, and the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC).
What churches do your families attend?

What are your graduation rates?
Each year 100% of the senior class graduates from high school. More than 80% go on to college with 5-10% choosing to serve in the military or to begin work immediately.

What after school activities are offered at your campuses?
The TBS campus offers a variety of electives during the schools day – including choir, band, visual art, digital photography, and a full range of athletic opportunities in grades 7-12.
The New Hope campus offers a variety of after school clubs each year, depending on parent interest and coach availability.

What is the student composition at each campus?
Students at New Hope and TBS come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. We welcome and encourage this kind of diversity on our campuses.
What parent participation opportunities are available?
Parents are encouraged to attend all events, concerts and athletic contests. In addition, volunteers are invited in to the classrooms to help and encouraged to give their time at the school wherever their passions and gifts allow. Learn more at our Volunteer page.
Where do New Hope and TBS families live?
New Hope families live in Roy, Eatonville, Orting, Spanaway, Graham, and South Hill.
TBS families live in Tacoma, University Place, Steilacoom, Fircrest, Lakewood, Spanaway, DuPont, Lacey, JBLM, Federal Way, Auburn, Gig Harbor, Puyallup, South Hill, Graham, Sumner and Bonney Lake.
Do military families attend your school?
We welcome military families to both campuses. On average, 7% of our student body is military families.
Do you give a military discount?
Our financial aid is need based and we work with every family who desires a Christian education to make TBS and New Hope a viable option. We encourage all families, including military families, to apply for financial aid and let us know what their needs are.
