The statement of faith adopted by South Sound Christian Schools (Tacoma Baptist Schools) is limited to primary Christian doctrine, which is considered to be central to all Christian denominations, and which sets Protestant Christianity apart from other faiths.

1. We believe the Bible alone to be the word of God, the ultimate and infallible authority for faith and practice.
Micah 6:8; Matthew 4:4, 22:43, I Corinthians 2:13, II Timothy 3:15-17, Hebrews 3:7, I Peter 1:10-21

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.
Genesis 1:1, Exodus 3:14, Deuteronomy 33:27, I Kings 8:27, II Chronicles 20:6, Psalms 139:1-10, 147:5; Isaiah 40:28, 44:24, 46:10 57:15, Daniel 2:20-21, Matthew 28:19, Acts 17:27-28, Romans 11:33, II Cor. 13:14,Colossians 2:2-3, I Timothy 1:17, 2:5, 6:15-16, I Peter 1:1-2

3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
Matthew 1:25; 28:1-20, Mark 10:45, John 1:1, 8:58, 20:28, II Corinthians 5:21, Philippians 2:5-8, Titus 2:13, Hebrews 1:8, 2:9, 4:15
 4. We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary.
Ephesians 4:30; Titus 3:5

5. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone.
Romans 3:21-31, 5:1; Galatians 2:15-16; Ephesians 2:1-10

6. We believe that faith without works is dead.
James 2:14-26

7. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
Romans 8:9-11, 26-31, I Corinthians 6:19, Ephesians 1:13–14

8. We believe in the future resurrection of all humans. Those who are saved will be raised to eternal life and fellowship with God and those who are lost will experience eternal separation from God.
Matthew 8:11-12, 13:49-50; I Peter 1:3-4; II Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 21:1-8,  22:3-5
